Description

One of the simplest bone-in chicken breast recipes ever made! These air fryer bone-in chicken breasts are coated in a sweet and savory honey balsamic marinade, then air fried until juicy, tender, and perfectly caramelized.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bone-in chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

1. Prepare the marinade by whisking together balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.

2. Cut diagonal slits in the middle of the bone-in chicken breasts and add them to the marinade.

3. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for best flavor.

4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

5. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket and cook for 25 minutes, checking after 20 minutes.

6. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the exterior is golden and caramelized.

7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

8. Garnish with chopped parsley and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

9. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, marinate the chicken for 2 hours or overnight.

Do not overcook the chicken breasts to keep them juicy and tender.

Letting the chicken rest after cooking helps redistribute the juices for maximum flavor.

Garnish with parsley and balsamic glaze for a beautiful caramelized finish.
