Description

Crispy, garlic-infused chicken skewers with a nutty Parmesan crust, cooked quickly in the air fryer. Juicy chicken is coated in a butter-Parmesan sauce and fried to perfection.


Ingredients

2 pounds chicken thighs, tenders, or breast (cut into 2-inch pieces)
1 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
8 wooden or metal skewers


Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 370°F (190°C)
Cut chicken into 2-inch pieces and place in a bowl
Add olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper; mix well
Thread seasoned chicken onto skewers
In a separate bowl, blend melted butter, Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice
Brush butter-Parmesan mixture evenly over chicken skewers
Insert skewers into air fryer and cook for 3-5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3-5 minutes, basting with remaining sauce
Drizzle any leftover sauce over skewers before serving


Notes

For extra juiciness, chicken thighs are recommended over breast meat
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before use to prevent burning
Dish can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 hours before air frying
Sauce ingredients can be mixed in advance and stored in an airtight container
