Description
Golden, garlicky fries dusted in Parmesan and olive oil, baked to crispy perfection in an air fryer. A savory, umami-packed side or snack with a tender interior and crunchy exterior.
Ingredients
2 large russet potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves minced fresh garlic)
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Wash and dry potatoes; cut into 1/4-inch sticks.
Toss potato sticks with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Spread Parmesan into a shallow bowl; toss potatoes to coat thoroughly.
Place in air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
Optional: Toss with herbs or lemon zest before serving.
Repeat with remaining potatoes in batches, adjusting cooking time slightly if needed.
Notes
For extra crispiness, soak potato sticks in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; reheat in air fryer.
Substitute gluten-free Parmesan for a gluten-avoiding option.
