Description
Crispy, golden-brown chicken tenders coated in a flavorful garlic Parmesan crust, made air-fryer style for a healthier yet indulgent take on classic comfort food. Quick, easy, and perfect for any family meal.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Optional: 1 egg, lightly beaten for a wet breading step
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a shallow bowl or dish, mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
In another dish, combine Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
If using egg, place it in a third shallow dish.
Dip each chicken strip first in the flour mixture, then in egg (optional), and then in the Parmesan-panko mix, pressing to coat evenly.
Lightly brush the chicken strips with olive oil for extra crispiness.
Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway, until the chicken is golden, crispy, and cooked through.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Adjust the amount of Parmesan for a stronger cheesy flavor.
For extra crispiness, chill the breaded chicken tenders in the fridge for 15 minutes before cooking.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes.
