Description
Juicy, crispy chicken wings seasoned with salt, pepper, and a hint of garlic or onion powder, cooked in an air fryer for a healthier, mess-free version of a classic favorite. Perfectly crunchy, fluffy, and always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings (reserving skins for crispness)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon olive oil (for coating)
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (205°C). Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Toss wings in the seasoned flour, ensuring full coverage.
Place wings in air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray or brush with olive oil.
Air fry for 12 minutes, flip wings, spray oil again, and cook for another 10–12 minutes until golden and crisp.
Optional: Spritz with a bit more oil and season with extra pepper after cooking for extra crunch.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Substitute olive oil with cooking spray for less oil.
For basting sauce, prepare simple salt and pepper mix (1/2 tsp salt + pepper) in a small dish.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat in air fryer at 375°F for 3–5 minutes.
Serve with your favorite sauces—classic hot wing glaze, ranch, or blue cheese.
