Description
These air fryer salmon bites are coated in a honey za’atar marinade and cooked until crispy outside and buttery, juicy inside in just 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 lb salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons za’atar
- 2 teaspoons sumac
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Aleppo pepper (or black pepper)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the za’atar, sumac, garlic powder, Aleppo pepper, kosher salt, olive oil, and honey until well combined.
2. Add the cubed salmon to the bowl and gently toss until all pieces are evenly coated in the marinade.
3. Arrange the salmon pieces in the air fryer basket with at least 1/2 inch between each piece.
4. Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes until cooked through and slightly crispy. Cook in batches if necessary.
5. Serve warm with rice and salad for a complete meal.
Notes
If you don’t have an air fryer, bake at 425°F for 7–10 minutes, then broil for 30–60 seconds for color.
You can substitute za’atar with another seasoning blend if desired while maintaining oil and honey ratios.
No need to flip or shake the basket during cooking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
