Ingredients
1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless chicken breasts cut into strips)
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 egg, lightly beaten (optional binder)
Cooking spray (oil-free or non-hydrogenated paraffin oil)
Instructions
Pat chicken strips dry with paper towels
In a bowl, mix flour, seasoned parmesan (garlic, paprika, salt, pepper)
Dip chicken into egg (if using), then coat with parmesan mixture
Place in air fryer basket (spray lightly)
Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes
Flip and cook 6-8 minutes, until crispy and golden
Notes
For extra crispiness, refrigerate coated chicken for 10 minutes before frying
Use halal-certified parmesan substitute if needed
Can be baked instead: 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes
