Description
Crispy, honey garlic salmon bites perfectly cooked in an air fryer for a quick and flavorful weeknight meal. Golden crumbs and savory glaze come together in every bite.
Ingredients
1 lb salmon fillets, skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes (fresh or frozen, thawed)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virginiate
½ tsp salt (preferably coarse sea salt)
¼ tsp black pepper, freshly ground
1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium optional)
2 tablespoons honey, runny and room temperature
2 cloves garlic, minced (about ½ tbsp)
½ tsp grated ginger
2 tablespoons water
1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 tbsp chopped green onions (scallions) for finishing
Instructions
Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels
In a bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Add salmon cubes and toss to coat evenly
Heat olive oil in a large bowl or tray, then toss salmon to coat
Arrange salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, until golden and crispy
Meanwhile, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and water in a small bowl
Remove salmon and brush with honey garlic glaze
Air fry for 2-3 minutes more, until glaze is glossy and slightly caramelized
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving
Notes
Use wild-caught salmon if available for firmer texture
For best results, whisk cornstarch mixture well to avoid clumps
Serve with steamed rice, quinoa, or spring rolls
Freeze cooked-breadcrumbed salmon cubes on a baking sheet before air frying for longer storage
Skip ginger if not available – flavor remains balanced
