Ingredients
8 chicken drumsticks, skin on
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Brush or rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the drumsticks.
Place drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd). Cook for 18 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
Check internal temperature: it should reach 165°F (74°C) for safety. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, drain excess fat during cooking. Serve with lemon wedges, garlic aioli, or a honey glaze. Substitute cayenne with chili flakes for a smoky kick. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
