Ingredients
1.5 lbs chicken tenderloins
1 cup buttermilk (or 1 tbsp lemon juice mixed into 1 cup milk)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 egg whites (optional)
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes
Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika
Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes
Toss chicken in flour, shaking off excess
Dip in egg whites (if using), then coat in panko
Arrange tenders in air fryer basket (no overlapping)
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway
Rest for 5 minutes before serving
Notes
For extra crispiness, lightly spray tenders with oil before cooking
Substitute buttermilk with yogurt in a 1:1 ratio if preferred
Serve with honey mustard or BBQ sauce for dipping
