Description
A smoky, spice-kissed chicken topped with crispy croutons and tangy Caesar dressing on romaine. Cooked in an air fryer for quick, hassle-free results with bold flavor.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6 oz each)
2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup croutons (store-bought or homemade)
1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Lemon wedges, for garnish
Blackening spice mix:
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil (for chicken and croutons)
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C)
Mix blackening spices in a bowl. Rub 1 tbsp olive oil on chicken, then coat evenly with spice blend
Air fry chicken for 12-15 minutes until charred and cooked through (internal temp 165°F/74°C)
Meanwhile, toss croutons with 1 tbsp olive oil and remaining spice mix. Air fry for 5-7 minutes until golden
In a large bowl, combine romaine, Caesar dressing, and Parmesan. Toss to coat
Top with air-fried chicken and croutons
Garnish with lemon wedges and serve immediately
Notes
Use halal-certified chicken if preferred
Adjust cayenne pepper to control spice level
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days
