Description
Warm, sweet, and tender baked apples filled with a cinnamon-sugar-pecan mixture, perfectly cooked in an air fryer. This cozy Fall dessert is a deliciously easy comfort treat the whole family will love.
Ingredients
4 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon oats
2 tablespoons raisins or dried cranberries (optional, can omit)
Instructions
Wash and dry the apples. Remove the core with a melon baller, leaving a hollow center.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and half of the chopped pecans.
Stuff the centers of the apples with the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture. Add raisins or dried cranberries if using.
Place the apples in the air fryer basket and dot the tops with softened butter.
Sprinkle the remaining pecans and oats on top of the apples for texture.
Air fry at 360°F (180°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until the apples are tender and slightly caramelized.
Cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute butter with coconut oil and use a non-dairy milk to moisten the filling mixture if needed.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2–3 days and reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to warm up.
