Description

Crispy apple sticks coated in a cinnamon-sugar crumb mixture and air-fried to golden perfection. A healthier, crunchy dessert or snack with a sweet and satisfying bite.

Ingredients

Scale

4 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Peel and core the apples. Cut into 2-inch sticks.
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
Working in batches, toss apple sticks in the flour mixture, dip into egg, then coat with panko.
Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.

Notes

Use tart apples like Granny Smith for balance.
Brush with a light coat of melted coconut oil before frying for extra crispiness.
Serve with vanilla yogurt, dark chocolate drizzle, or a sprinkle of additional cinnamon.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 day.
